Digital Hands Wins Workforce Alliance's Emerging Business Award

On June 16, 2009, Tampa Bay WorkForce Alliance recognized four Business Excellence Awards recipients at Tampa’s InterContinental Hotel. Recipients were selected for their commitment to hiring and retaining top talent.
The Emerging Business Award was given to Charlotte Baker, CEO of Digital Hands, who was the recipient of this award for the second consecutive year, for attracting and keeping talented employees with its fun, family-centered culture. Whether they are taking a break to play on the company’s Nintendo Wii or being served a homemade breakfast by the senior staff, Digital Hands employees are always encouraged to have fun at work.
As the selection criteria, companies nominated for the award must have demonstrate excellence in the following:
Access - how easy does the company make it for the job candidates to access the company for employment
Retention - the company has programs in place to retain good talent
Training - the company consistently offers training and professional development for employees at all levels
Diversity - the company publishes a corporate philosophy on diversity recruiting
Advancement - the company offers opportunities for advancement
Use of Technology - the company uses technology effectively and efficiently to hire and retain the best talent
