Valeri Marks is the new chief executive officer of Hire Velocity in Tampa. The company provides recruitment and hiring services to small to medium-sized businesses.

Previously, Marks was president and chief executive officer of New Homes Realty in Tampa, and prior to that, she was president of the interactive media services division of Ameritech. In that role, Marks worked on the company’s expansion to online services, including an online yellow pages site and Internet service provider feature. She then led the national Internet division of SBC, now AT&T, upon the company’s acquisition of Ameritech.

Marks holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. She is a member of the advisory board of the University of South Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship and a board member of the CEO Council of Tampa Bay. Hire Velocity has operations in Tampa and Atlanta.
